In an effort to start to see the world through the eyes of an animal we know, we spent time in class introducing ourselves as an animal we know. Much like in the first chapter of The One and Only Ivan, students tried to include the personality of the animal they introduced.

Ruby has to trust Stella because, before Stella died, Stella was like Ruby’s mother.
I do not think Ruby resents anyone, because she is little and she is very cute and nice.
My favorite character is Ruby because I love baby elephants they are so cute and, Ruby is a baby elephant and cuter than ever. I think Ruby is happy and sad.
I also think it is sad that Ruby's parents died.
I think that Ruby is going to die in the cage like Stella.

I feel bad for an elephant because a ball kicked it by the trunk. I think Mack resents Ruby because Mack may not like something that Ruby has. I think Ivan feel so sad like the saddest and unluckiest gorilla in the world there should be a way Mac could be nice so he could let Ivan out of the domain. I really hate Mac for being mean. I think Ivan should be very sad not angry he never be angry. Ivan should be sad because he got separated now he have no family and Stella also died that is gotta make someone Ivan sad. He is like the saddest animal in the world not just gorilla. I wonder if he is ever going to feel happy. When he throw the meatball at the mirror trying to throw at the kid. Mack’s Perspective
ReplyDeleteI think that Mack’s thinking about Ruby are frustrated and annoyed. I think that because 1st of all Ruby was just being stubborn and that was just annoying Mack a lot! 2nd of all because ever since Stella died Ruby doesn't really want to perform in front of everybody. 3rd Mack doesn't know what happened to Ruby's family so he doesn't know what Ruby's is going through. 5th I think that Mack just bought Ruby to make more money.(Ruby+cute=$$$$$$) 6th I think that Mack was going to use the money that he got from Ruby's performance to get money for Stella to help her feel better but by then it was too late.That is what I think Mack’s perspective is.

I left Bob and julia, I go to my new family.
my dinner was bananas and frozen yogurt. I ate as fast as I can because it was so good and I was confident even when the other gorillas are laughing at me when I vomit (too much food!). that what a silverback would do. I was a little embarrassed though.
Then i wondered about ruby i really miss ruby. i said to myself “i want to feel ruby and see”.
then i saw a man after i ate dinner he was black black head, black shirt, black pants, and black shoes. i wonder why he dress like that in night “is he out of his mind he must be crazy”.
thirty six minutes later i saw him again. this time i was shocked he has ruby! i don’t care about anything else except saving ruby then when i panicked i saw he got a knife! then i said “hold on” to ruby and i tried my very strongest to break out! nothing happen. then kinyani saw me i said “try to break the gates now just do it”! then with all our might they break the fence!
i jump to get ruby. then i grab ruby i put him in the gorilla place the other gorilla and kinyani protect him.
then ivan did a thing that he would never do a silverback would do... ivan hit the person in the direct hit a little under the body as hard as he could. this time it was like TWELVE times more than it hurts when ruby did it! this time that gross little thing broke yuk.
then i open the mask it was mac he was crying like a baby good thing i didn’t kill him. i wished that was someone else that is crazy.
so me the and the gorillas want to go to the jungle because it is there old life the gorillas are still wondering who ruby is.
but whatever we don’t care and we went to the jungle.
AFTER LIFE I MARRIED KINYANI BECAUSE OF A DATE BOB SEES ME SOMETIMES. I MARRIED KINYANI BECAUSE WE HAD A DATE THEN WE HAD A BABY WE NAMED IT IVAN TWO. THE END

I went inside and I’m always the last one to be at the door.The next day I went to the other gorillas and told them “I am Ivan the mighty silverback.’’ We spent the afternoon climbing trees and rolling in mud feeling how it was being a real gorilla all though I thought that I was a pig? Then it was sunset, the perfect time to see Ruby and her little friends. I went over to the glass watching them playing tag. I felt happiness in Ruby.

After I see Julia and Bob and George I look away and wonder “How come Mack did not come “. Mya come back. She come with the TV. I say without Mya not knowing “well here comes the nature channel again. It comes on. I see Ruby and other young Elephants. I singh “hhhhhmmmm” I hope Ruby is okay without me I say in my Big furry head. Mya take the TV away. After 17 min Mya come back with Ruby “RUBY” I hoot with Joy Ruby grumbled with her trunk she was happy happier then I was to see her. After I saw Ruby I never forgot the time I kept my promise and changed a young elephants life just by 4 words those word were H O M E
